Best Buddies

Best Buddies International is an organization focusing on the promotion of advocacy for and friendships with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The Rice Chapter matches students with a person living at The Center, an independent living facility near campus, with the intent of facilitating lasting friendships. Through regular one-on-one contact and group events such as Halloween parties, picnics in the park, and other fun activities, the matches turn into mutually satisfying lifelong relationships.
